Our Commitment to Transparency
Health News Daily is committed to maintaining a clear separation between editorial content and commercial content. We believe our readers have the right to know when content has been influenced, funded or produced in partnership with an advertiser or sponsor.
This Sponsored Content Disclosure explains how we handle sponsored content, advertorials, affiliate links and other commercial relationships on our Website. It was last updated on 8 March 2026.
What Is Sponsored Content?
Sponsored content is any content on our Website that has been paid for, commissioned or materially supported by a third party — whether a brand, company, organisation or individual. This includes:
Sponsored articles: Articles written in collaboration with or on behalf of a sponsor, covering topics relevant to our readership.
Advertorials: Paid promotional content that is designed to resemble editorial content but is funded by a third party.
Affiliate content: Articles that contain links to products or services where Health News Daily may receive a commission if readers make a purchase. (At the time of writing, we do not currently use affiliate links, but we include this disclosure for transparency should this change.)
Branded partnerships: Content created as part of a broader commercial partnership, such as a sponsored series or section sponsorship.
How We Label Sponsored Content
All sponsored content on Health News Daily is clearly and prominently labelled so that readers can immediately distinguish it from independent editorial content. Labelling includes:
— A prominent tag or label such as “Sponsored”, “Paid Partnership”, “Advertorial” or “In association with [sponsor name]” displayed at the top of the article.
— Where applicable, a disclosure statement within the article body explaining the commercial relationship.
— If affiliate links are ever used, they will be clearly identified with a statement such as “This article contains affiliate links. Health News Daily may earn a commission if you make a purchase through these links.”
Editorial Independence
Sponsorship does not buy editorial influence. Our key principles:
— Sponsors do not have the right to approve, edit or veto editorial content that is not part of the sponsorship arrangement.
— Sponsored content does not affect our independent editorial coverage of any topic, company or product.
— Our editorial team retains full control over all editorial content. The Editor-in-Chief has final say on what we publish, regardless of any commercial relationship.
— We will clearly decline any sponsorship arrangement that attempts to influence our independent editorial coverage or compromises reader trust.
For full details on our editorial standards, please see our Editorial Policy & Ethics.
Quality Standards for Sponsored Content
All sponsored content published on Health News Daily must meet our editorial quality standards:
— It must be factually accurate and not misleading.
— It must not make unsubstantiated health claims.
— It must be relevant and potentially useful to our readers.
— It must comply with UK advertising regulations, including the CAP Code administered by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
— Health-related sponsored content must include appropriate disclaimers and must not be presented as medical advice, in line with our Medical Disclaimer.
Google News Compliance
In accordance with Google News content policies, we ensure that advertising and paid promotional material on our pages does not exceed our editorial content. Sponsored content is clearly disclosed to readers and is never disguised as independent editorial reporting. The subject of sponsored content does not focus solely on the sponsor without clear disclosure.
